The role of the Business Development and Marketing intern is to support building a commercialization strategy for Agents of Influence and help implement strategies to determine the effectiveness of these strategies. This will include work on building partnerships, writing articles, social media strategy and designing posts and updating the website.

Location and Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from home or another suitable location. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Reliable Internet Connection: A stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps) is required for video conferencing and accessing company tools.
  • Equipment: You should have access to a reliable computer with a webcam and a headset. If needed, the company can provide additional equipment to support your work.
  • Workspace: A quiet, distraction-free workspace is essential for meetings and focused work.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Help determine the ideal audience and commercialization strategy.
  • Assist with copywriting and content creation for marketing materials including articles and blog posts.
  • Review and organize social media efforts, including scheduling posts and tracking engagement.
  • Compile and organize lists for conferences, memberships, and other marketing activities.
  • Organize conference and grants list for the next year.
  • Update the AoI website with research results, new/recent articles, and SEO optimization.
  • Bring back and manage social media presence, deciding on platforms and reaching educator markets.
  • Experiment with targeting kid and parent markets.
  • Develop case studies and contact teachers to build advocacy within school districts.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work in a timely fashion to meet deadlines and support team projects.
  • Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Compensation and Benefits

This is an unpaid internship. There is potential to grow into a paid role.
